Aconteceu na noite do último domingo (14), a aguardada 64° edição do Grammy Awards, a maior premiação de música dos Estados Unidos. Devido a pandemia, a cerimônia aconteceu de forma remota e presencial, sendo que alguns artistas receberam os prêmios virtualmente.
Como de costume, para a entrega de mais de 80 prêmios, a academia de música americana separou as cerimônias em três partes: a pré-cerimônia, o tapete vermelho e a cerimônia principal.
O eventou contou com apresentações de BTS, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Black Pumas, Chris Martin, DaBaby, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, John Mayer, Haim, Mickey Guyton, Brandi Carlile e Brittany Howard.
Os vencedores começaram a ser anunciados às 16h nos canais oficiais do evento, apenas algumas categorias entraram para a premiação ao vivo. O início da premiação começou com uma sequência de apresentações impecáveis de Harry Styles, Billie Eilish e o trio HAIM.
Entre os vencedores, quem levou a melhor foi Beyoncé, que liderava a lista com 9 indicações, seguida por Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift e Roddy Rich, com seis cada um.
Beyoncé roubou a cena e faturou ao todo quatro troféus. Além de “Melhor Performance de R&B”, a artista venceu “Melhor Performance de Rap” e “Melhor Música de Rap” e “Melhor Vídeo” com a canção “Brown Skin Girl”.
Vencer a categoria com a canção “Brown Skin Girl”, tornou a filha de Beyoncé, Blue Ivy, a segunda pessoa mais jovem a conquistar o prêmio, com apenas nove anos de idade.
Billie Eilish venceu duas categorias, levando dois troféus para a casa, com “Melhor Música Escrita para Mídia Visual”, em “No Time to Die”, e “Gravação do Ano” por “Everything I Wanted”.
Ganhar a categoria de “Gravação do Ano” foi uma grande surpresa para Billie. Segundo a artista, quem deveria ter ganho o prêmio era Megan Thee Stallion. “Estou até com vergonha, Megan. Eu até ia fazer um discurso sobre como você merecia esse prêmio, mas pensei: ‘Eles nunca vão me escolher’. Esse prêmio e dela”, declarou a cantora.
Indicada a seis nomeações, Dua Lipa entregou uma performance impecável. Ao lado do rapper DaBaby, a cantora apresentou o remix de “Levitating”, além do sucesso de “Don’t Start Now”.
A artista venceu a premiação na categoria de “Melhor Álbum Vocal Pop” com o disco “Future Nostalgia”, conquistando seu terceiro Grammy em sua carreira. Em 2019, Dua Lipa ficou sendo a artista revelação e ganhou o prêmio de “Melhor Gravação Dance” por “Electricity”.
Taylor Swift fez história na premiação. Isso porque a artista ficou sendo a única mulher a deter três gramofones de “Álbum do Ano” no Grammy.
Com seis indicações pela academia, Taylor Swift realizou uma performance incrível na cerimônia com “cardigan”, “august” e “willow”, em um cenário que trazia a estética dos clipes da era “folklore”.
